Every option reaches the same governed Twin. Choose the place where you already work, then follow the shortest setup for that tool.

A simple rule
- Choose the Twin workspace when you want the complete experience.
- Choose ChatGPT or Claude when you want approved Twin answers in a hosted assistant.
- Choose the Twin CLI when Codex, Claude Code, or another local agent should inspect channels or query the Twin while it works.
- Choose developer tools when you are building your own product, service, or automated workflow.
What must be enabled first
The Twin workspace is available through your organisation's workspace link. ChatGPT, Claude, Codex, and Claude Code also need the Twin connection to be enabled for your organisation.
Claude custom connectors are currently in beta. The Twin CLI and TypeScript SDK are supplied through managed connection packs, while the REST query protocol is available when your organisation has enabled it.
See Connection availability for the difference between a place where you use the Twin and a model provider configured behind it. In particular, a deployment may use Gemini as a model provider without a person-managed Gemini connector being available.
The words MCP, OAuth, and subject token describe how a connection works. They are not different Twins. Every supported natural-language route uses the same router, organisation boundary, and channel access checks.
