Run work automatically

Automations help with repeatable work. They can start a Session each day or route matching Inbox items without someone sorting every item by hand.

Open Agent → Automations or Admin → Automations.

Schedule a daily Session

Choose New scheduled automation, then provide:

• a short title people will recognise;
• the prompt describing the result the agent should produce; and
• the local time it should run each day.

Write the prompt as if you were creating a normal Session. Include the intended outcome, useful context, and the shape of the result.

For example:

Prepare the morning delivery brief. Highlight projects at risk, name the supporting evidence, and finish with the owner and next action for each one.

Review and control an automation

Open an automation to see its prompt, schedule, next run, recent run history, and technical completion rate.

When you are allowed to manage it, you can:

• Run now to test it without waiting for the next scheduled time;
• Pause it while the source, prompt, or business process is changing;
• Resume it when it is ready again;
• Edit its title, prompt, or daily time; or
• Delete it when the recurring work is no longer needed.

Each execution creates a Session. Open recent runs to review the actual business result, not only whether the agent finished technically.

Route matching Inbox items

Routing rules can file matching Inbox items into a Channel based on details such as their source, sender, or a keyword.

Use a routing rule when the destination is predictable and the rule is easy to explain. Keep ambiguous items in Active Inbox for a person to review.

Rules can be paused, enabled again, or removed. Review the target Channel after creating a rule to make sure it is capturing the intended work without adding noise.

A safe rollout

1. Run the prompt manually in a Session.
2. Schedule it and use Run now.
3. Review the result and supporting context.
4. Let it run for a few cycles.
5. Pause it whenever its source or business definition changes.
