Connect Claude

Use approved Twin answers through a custom connector in Claude.

Claude reaches your Twin through a custom connector. Once it is enabled, each person signs in with their own identity and chooses when to use it in a conversation.

Start here

Open Customize → Connectors and look for your organisation's Twin.

  • If it is listed, choose Connect and complete sign-in.
  • If it is missing from a Team or Enterprise workspace, ask an owner to add it.
  • If you use an individual account, choose Add custom connector and use the address in your Twin connection pack.

Enable the Twin from + → Connectors in the conversation where you want to use it.

Copy this short prompt

Replace the example question, then paste this into Claude:

Connect and check my Twin
Help me connect to my organisation's Twin and check that it works.

Do not ask me to paste a client secret, token, password, or cookie into this
conversation. First help me find the Twin in Customize → Connectors.

If it is available, guide me through Connect and sign-in, one screen at a time.
Then help me enable it for this conversation and ask:
"<replace-with-my-question>"

Show me which published Twin knowledge supported the answer and any available
evidence or workspace link.

If the Twin is not available, tell me whether I need an organisation owner or
the connection pack. Do not work around organisation controls, and do not
answer the business question from general knowledge instead.

If an owner needs to add it

Send the owner this request:

Request the Twin connector from my owner
Please add our organisation's approved Twin connector in Claude and make it
available to members. I will connect it with my own identity.

Please use the remote address and OAuth details in our Twin connection pack.
Do not send client secrets through chat or email. Let me know when the Twin is
visible under Customize → Connectors.

For Team and Enterprise plans, an owner opens Organisation settings → Connectors, adds a custom web connector, and uses the remote address from the connection pack. OAuth details belong only in the protected advanced settings.

When Claude shows a callback address, the Twin administrator must register that exact value. Each member then opens Customize → Connectors, chooses Connect, and signs in with their own Twin account.

Hosted connection

Claude connects to the remote Twin service from Anthropic's cloud, including when you use Claude Desktop. The address must be the public HTTPS address supplied in your connection pack, not localhost or a private VPN address.

Anthropic currently describes custom connectors as beta. Check its current custom connector setup guide for plan availability and the latest screen names.
